Kids place a tile and say its sound, line up tiles to map a word like d-o-g, then write a full sentence on the dry-erase lines below.
Inside the kit
Every sound pattern has its own color
Consonants, vowels, digraphs like sh and th, r-controlled vowels like ar and ur, and vowel teams like ea and igh are each colored differently, so kids start to see patterns in words.

Mark the tricky part of a word
Heart and circle tiles let kids flag the sound that does not follow the rules, right in the middle of the word they are building.
