How it works
Touch a dot, watch a bead pop up
Kids hold the magnetic pen over a hole and a colored bead jumps up into the grid. Bead by bead, a bunny, a boat or a butterfly appears.
The pen
Tethered, so it doesn't wander off
The magnetic pen is attached to the board with a string, which makes it hard to lose in the car or under the sofa.
Pattern cards
Copy a card, or go freestyle
Ten double-sided cards give 20 patterns that start simple and get trickier. Or skip the cards and make up a picture of their own.
On the go
Sealed board, no loose beads
The beads stay inside the board, so it's an easy pick for airplanes, road trips and restaurants.
Perfect for
- Kids 3+ who like copying patterns and pictures
- Travel days: flights, road trips and waiting rooms
- Practicing colors and counting through play
- A Montessori-inspired quiet-time activity
Not the right pick if
- Children under 3: small parts and magnets
- A cracked board or loose beads: stop using it right away
- Kids looking for a drawing tablet: it makes dot pictures, not lines
